There are countless newsletters competing for attention today. Many focus on breaking news, quick opinions, productivity hacks or the latest trends. This newsletter will take a different approach.

I have always been interested in understanding how things work beneath the surface. Whether I am building an open source project, writing a research paper, creating a dataset, travelling to a new place or exploring the impact of artificial intelligence, I find myself asking the same questions.

Why does this matter?

What system produced this outcome?

What can we learn from it?

Those questions have shaped much of my work over the years and this newsletter is where I will share that thinking more openly.

Some editions will explore technology, artificial intelligence, open knowledge and digital infrastructure. Others may discuss travel, photography, publishing, or lessons from building long-term projects. Rather than chasing every headline, I want to focus on ideas that remain useful long after the news cycle has moved on.

You can expect thoughtful essays, observations from projects I am working on, lessons learned from successes and failures, behind-the-scenes looks at research and open source initiatives, and occasional recommendations for books, tools, articles, or resources that I believe are genuinely valuable.

This is not a newsletter about having all the answers.

It is about documenting questions worth asking, decisions worth examining and ideas worth refining.

I believe some of the best thinking happens in public. Publishing regularly creates accountability, encourages better questions and invites perspectives that make the work stronger. I hope this newsletter becomes part of that process.
